Letter send from Aden to Alexandria.

 

……….You mentioned, my lord (1) -may God make your honored position permanent- that the slave (abd-black slave) had arrived. I, your servant, am glad that he reached  you in complete safety…….

 

(1) Sulayman ibn Abu Zikri Kohen is meant here he was the Nagid of Fustat (in Egypt) (=the representative of the international traders).
