A coin of Caliph Muawiya

Taken from: Al-Fakhri; Histoire des dynasties Musulmanes depuis la mort de Mahomet jusqu'à la chute du.....Translated by Emile Amar

One of the Umayyad says to Mouawiya (1) (caliph 661-680) by Allah if you had been able to find a helper even from among the Zanj, you would surely have been able to use him to assure order in the country.

(1)Mouawiya: Moawia: Mu'awiya ibn Yazid (c. 664 – 684 CE), was the third Umayyad caliph. He ruled briefly in 683-684. After his dead Umayyad power temporarily collapsed until Marwan I took back control.
