Al Wahrani: Munumat (Dreams) (d1180)

(One of his dreams)... that he had just come from China from its king who was enlightened, so he told him that the soul of this king had inclined to Islam, he had gone out to him from the Zinj country that afternoon, to dissuade him from his (previous) mind, then asked the city of Cordoba (3) on the same night to finish the corruption among the children of Abd al-Mu'min (1), He is now on his way to Khorasan (2) ….

Then the increase (of the Nile) was delayed beyond its usual time until people despaired of it and reported that the kings of Abyssinia diverted the Nile from the streams of the lands of Egypt to the direction of Zinj, so that it would never return to them. Then, God Almighty sent him and the one with him, and in one Friday (the Nile) added about eight cubits (4).
