Proclus Lycaeus (d485) Commentary on the Timaeus of Plato
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Taken from: Youssouf Kamal: Monumenta Cartographica Africae et Aegypti
The only cause of the rains, in the words of Theophraste is the shock of the clouds against a mountain. It is not surprising that one does not see clouds
around the cataracts; it is not there that starts the Nile. Its source is in the mountains of the moon, called like that because they are high and because of
the clouds that gather there, above the cataracts.
